More importantly, I am currently "trying" to do some calculations for interference contact distances (Im implementing a method to determine the closest distanced form a line to a cylinder at the moment). Ideally, we could just add some default drop down menus for various cameras, telescopes, and mount dimensions if people want to post them here down the road. I am planning on adding a nice input window so users can set their own telescope dimensions (lengths, diameters, number of counterweights, pretty much any dimension used) and even change colors if they want. The math got a little tricky but was a good challenge. I started playing with this on Friday, and have the core code basically all working now. Maybe this is already out there and Im missing it? All I found was the one by AstroPhysics, which also looked really dated. Just curious if anyone out there is interested in some software for real time 3D visualization of their telescope orientation? I searched around but didn't see anything.
